The Monday Nite
AA Meeting at ANMC
6:30pm - 8:00pm

There is an unpublished meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage. Here is why people come:

Attend an AA meeting focused on learning the AA 12-Step Program of Recovery presented in the Basic Text of Alcoholics Anonymous - everything from the Foreword to Page 164 plus the Appendices in the back of the Big Book.

Learn the lessons of the Co-Founders of Alcoholics Anonymous and the teachings of the "first one hundred" alcoholics who recovered from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body by taking a spiritual path that produces personality changes needed to remove the obsession to take the drink that leads to uncontrollable binges, misery and remorse.

Learn How the First 100 applied the First 11 Steps that gave them a Spiritual Awakening that produces a better life than most people can imagine.

Carry The Message To Still - Suffering Alcoholics, including patients of the Alaska Native Medical Center who wish to learn more about the AA 12-Step Program of Recovery. The A.A. members will do this in cooperation with the health care professionals of the Alaska Native Medical center, always respecting the policies and wishes of ANMC and the patients.

Follow and Teach the Path Of the "First 100" who enjoyed recovery rates in excess of 75%, approaching 95% or better when using the techniques developed by Dr. Bob of Akron and his students, including Clarence S. of Cleveland.

Rely heavily on the information and convictions presented by "Joe and Charlie" and on the Internet Websites of the Primary Purpose Group of Dallas, Texas, the Primary Purpose Group of Spartanburg, South Carolina, "Barefoot Bob", and the Men's Step Application Group of Bellevue, Washington. (See www.route164.net [0] for links to these other sites)

Because these are "open meetings," anyone interested in alcoholism and Alcoholics Anonymous is welcome so long as they confine their comments to matters pertaining to recovery from alcoholism. We welcome newcomers and family members!

Time & Place: Every Monday – 6:30pm to 8:00pm in Conference Room #1 of the ANMC Hospital Building at 4315 Diplomacy Drive. The first half is a Big Book Study, the second half a discussion / speaker meeting.

Directions:The Alaska Native Medical Center Campus is located about 500 feet northeast of East Tudor Road at Bragaw Street in northeast Anchorage, Alaska. Municipal People Mover bus routes 1, 13, & 45 serve ANMC; route 75 passes nearby.

To get to the meeting room from the hospital's front entrance, turn left into the first hallway, go about 100 feet, pass the cafeteria entrance, and look for Conference Room #1 in the small hallway on your left.
